Firefox Not Sharing Certificates with Operating System
Is Mozilla Firefox sharing certificate storage with operating system?
✍: FYIcenter.com
No, Mozilla Firefox does not shares certificate storage with
local operating system. Mozilla Firefox uses its own
Certificate Manager to manage its own copies of root CA certificates
independent of the operating system.
Some other major Web browsers, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, etc., do share certificate storage with local operating system.
So if you are making certificate changes in Mozilla Firefox, those changes will not impact other applications.
